“Sportello 2016” for digital innovation in SMEs

Thanks to the financial support of the Region of Umbria in regards to the call for proposals: “Sportello 2016” for digital innovation in SMEs, TRW S.r.l. received funding to improve two strategic areas, one relating to the Computing Cloud, that is, the Creation of a Cloud system in which to share and process data between TRW, clients and suppliers, generating the following benefits:

• Reduced initial fixed costs:
  Savings due to the elimination of initial and subsequent investments in software and hardware that were no longer necessary;
• Greater flexibility:
  The possibility to easily and promptly adjust contractual conditions in accordance with fluctuating needs;
• Greater focus on its own core business:
  Manpower is released that was previously dedicated to managing the infrastructure; the management of the entire IT architecture is now delegated to the provider;
• Greater scalability:
  Faced with the need for greater or fewer resources, the infrastructure can be expanded or limited with great flexibility;
• Access to the cloud on the move:
  The possibility to make a data connection from any location and at any time;
• System security:
  Possibility to implement a security system designed to protect data and networks with services continually protected by backups;
• Independence from peripherals:
  Insofar as online programs and data, there is no requirement to use special hardware or certain network configurations, rather any device able to connect to the internet will suffice.

Moreover, again thanks to the contribution of the Region of Umbria, TRW S.r.l. was able to contribute to the development of an E-commerce site for the online sale of packaged translation services.

Thanks to this funding, TRW S.r.l. extended its range of services offered, generating growth in terms of turnover and employed personnel.
