This page describes how the website is managed in regards to the processing of its users’ personal data.
This is the privacy policy developed pursuant to art. 13 of Law Decree 196/2003, the Code regulating the protection of the personal data of those who interact with the company’s web services, available electronically at the address: https://www.trw-italia.com/ corresponding to the home page of the official website. The privacy policy is developed for this website only and not for any other websites that may be consulted by the user through links.
The privacy policy is also inspired by Recommendation no. 2/2001, which the European data protection authorities, gathered in the Group established by art. 29 of Directive 95/46/EC, adopted on 17th May 2001 to identify certain minimum requirements for the collection of personal data online, and, in particular, the methods, times and nature of the information that data controllers must provide to users when the latter connect to web pages, regardless of the purpose of the connection.
Following consultation of this website, data relating to identified or identifiable persons may be processed.
The data controller is TRW S.r.l. with registered office in Via Bernardo Quaranta, 45 - 20139 Milan (MI).
Processing connected to the web services of this website takes place at the aforementioned offices and is processed only by technical personnel of the Department authorised to process data, or by any persons in charge of occasional maintenance operations. No data derived from the web service is disclosed or diffused. The personal data provided by users who send requests to receive informative material (bulletins, CD-ROMs, catalogues, price lists, answers to queries, various documents, etc.) is used only for the purpose of fulfilling the requested service.
Browsing data The IT systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, certain personal data, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols. This is information which is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects, but which by its very nature may, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allows the identification of users. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the website, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file received in response, the numeric code indicating the status of the response provided by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and user’s IT environment. This data is used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical data regarding use of the website and to check its correct operation, and is cancelled about one month after its processing. The data may be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes against the website: except in this case, data relating to web contacts is not currently stored for more than about one month.
The optional, explicit, and voluntary sending of an email to the addresses indicated on this website entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s email address, necessary to respond to the requests, as well as any other personal data inserted in the message. Specific summary policies will be progressively reported or displayed on pages of the website that offer special services by request.
No personal user data is acquired by the website in this regard. Cookies are not used to transmit information of a personal nature, nor does the website use any so-called persistent cookies of any type, that is, user tracking systems.
The use of so-called session cookies (which are not permanently stored on the user's computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to allow safe and efficient exploration of the website. The so-called session cookies used in this website avoid the use of other IT techniques potentially injurious to the confidentiality of users’ browsing and do not allow the acquisition of the user’s personal identification data.
Apart from that specified in regards to browsing data, the user is free or otherwise to provide their personal data. Failure to provide said data shall make it impossible to satisfy the request.
The personal data is processed using automated tools for the time strictly necessary to fulfil the scopes for which it was collected. Specific security measures are adopted to prevent data loss, unlawful or incorrect use of data, and unauthorised access.
The data subjects have the right to obtain, at any time, confirmation of the existence or otherwise of said data and to know its contents and origin, check its accuracy or request its integration or updating, or rectification (see art. 7 of Law Decree 196/2003 for details). For the purposes of said article, the data subject has the right to request the cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of any data processed in violation of the law, as well as oppose, in any case, for legitimate reasons, its processing. Requests must be submitted to the Data Controller or Processor of TRW S.r.l. This constitutes the Privacy Policy of this website, which shall be subject to updates (the various versions shall be available at the same address).
