Interpreting

In addition to the translation of written texts, we have also created a network of interpreters who can help you communicate during meetings or events with the public, clients, or foreign business partners.

Interpreters are a crucial link in all situations where not everyone speaks or sufficiently understands the language.
Our qualified interpreters registered with the Association of Italian Translators and Interpreters (AITI) they are able to work in specialised, highly complex contexts and offer the following types of interpreting services:

Simultaneous interpreting

Simultaneous interpreting takes place in a booth, from where the interpreter sees the speaker and translates their words, communicating with the end user via a microphone. There is a variable time lapse between the speech in the original language and its translation (décalage), which is needed for the interpreter to fully understand the meaning of every sentence.
The length of the décalage varies depending on the grammatical and syntactic differences between the source and target language. For example, the interpreter’s comprehension speed is significantly affected by the position of the verb and subject.

Consecutive interpreting

In consecutive interpreting, the interpreter takes notes on what the speaker is saying. The interpreter waits for a portion of speech to end before translating the content into the target language. The fragment of speech to be translated can last even up to 10/15 minutes.

The interpreter therefore uses special symbols to take summary notes regarding the concepts to be re-proposed in the target language. The quality of consecutive interpreting is determined by the knowledge and use of appropriate symbols, otherwise it would be impossible to transcribe an entire speech, word for word.

When do I need an interpreter?

The natural fields of application of interpreting are: conferences, business and technical negotiations, legal consultations. Using this type of service, your company can make an important qualitative leap towards international markets and forge increasingly strong relationships with foreign companies based on mutual understanding and credibility.
